    I do not have Ruby in my system. I tried to download Ruby 1.9 from https://rubyforge.org/projects/rubyinstaller/ as instructed by the textbook "Programmng Ruby 1.9" . The installer is for ruby 1.8.6. Is that the correct version to be used for CSCIE168? If it is not, where can I download Ruby 1.9? Please advice.

    I'm working on screencasts now for setting everything up.

    If you're on Windows, use the "preview2" of the Ruby 1.9 one-click installer:

    Thanks for posting the link to dowonload Ruby 1.9 one-click installer. I have installed Ruby 1.9 successfully last night using the "preview2".
